From Fringe to Scallops: What’s Back in Boho for 2025

The Boho Revival Is Here Again

Chloé, Isabel Marant, Ralph Lauren, and Valentino are leading a wave of soft rebellion on the runways this season. Their Spring/Summer 2025 collections are filled with flowing maxi dresses, fringe details, embroidered tunics, shell accessories, and the kind of sun-washed colors that make you want to walk barefoot through a field of wildflowers.

Yes—boho chic is back, and it’s more than just a look. It's a vibe. It’s a return to freedom, ease, and a quiet kind of romance that flows through loose silhouettes and natural textures. In today’s fashion landscape of clearly defined trends like Barbiecore and cottagecore, this resurgence of boho chic clothing brings something different—something less prescriptive.

As model and advocate Liya Kebede, who once walked for Chloé during the height of the boho era, puts it:

“There are too many rules now,” Liya Kebede says. “Creatives then were more free—they could do crazier things and dream more. Maybe that’s why we’re going back into romanticism and flowy clothes—people want to have more freedom.”

Among the many boho chic fashion details making their way back into closets? Scalloped edges. You’ll see them rippling along the hems of lace skirts, fluttering sleeves, and even in jewelry and accessories that mimic hand-cut seashells or embroidered trim. Whether in delicate lace or fabric that waves like water, scallops have always embodied that perfect blend of whimsy and imperfection—central to the boho chic aesthetic.

A Designer’s Memory, Stitched in Scallops

For me, the return of boho chic inspiration feels deeply personal. I grew up watching my mom wear prairie skirts, soft eyelet blouses, and long dresses edged in fluttery scallops. I didn’t know what any of it was called then—but I knew how it made me feel: free, feminine, and a little dreamy.

I was three years old the first time I fell in love with a scalloped edge. It was Christmas Eve, and my mom had sewn matching white eyelet pinafores for my sister and me. The scalloped hems fluttered as we ran through the house, catching the light with every step. That movement, that softness—it stayed with me.

Fast forward to today, and I still find myself drawn to scallops. And now, as a lingerie designer, I finally get to put that love into something wearable, beautiful, and functional.

That’s how the Double Scallop Bra was born.

Introducing the Double Scallop: A Soft Edge, Twice Over

Most scalloped bras feature uniform waves, but I didn’t want mine to feel so precise or rigid. Instead, I designed the scallops to be more organic, like hand-drawn waves rather than computer-generated curves. The result is a softer rhythm, a natural flow that moves with your body, bringing a subtle, romantic wildness that I absolutely love.

Unlike most scalloped bras that only have scallops along the neckline, I took it a step further by adding scalloped edges to both the top and bottom. Double scalloped, double the romance.

Of course, softness doesn’t mean sacrificing support. This bra features Comfelie’s signature one-piece jelly gel support: our breathable, underwire-free technology that lifts and shapes while staying smooth and seamless against your skin. So yes, it’s beautiful—but it’s also built to perform.

Scallops, Made for Summer

Just like boho, these bras belong to summer. As part of our Airlite collection, they're made with breathable fabric and mold cups featuring 10,000+ micro air holes, letting your skin breathe like a summer breeze.

Airlite Breathable Seamless Bra with Scallop Edges: where scallops stretch up to the shoulders for a more delicate finish.

Airlite Plunge Bra with Scallop Edges: features a deep V design and dual jelly gel bands that wrap around your bust for extra lift and gentle hold.

Softness Is a Strength

To many, a bra might just be a piece of clothing you put on in the morning. But I hope this one feels like something more. A small act of care—for your body, your comfort, your emotions, and your sense of style. A wearable reminder that softness is not weakness. It’s presence. It’s power.

From that childhood Christmas dress to this modern romantic bra, scallops have always meant something to me. They’re not just decoration. They’re a symbol—of fluidity, quiet elegance, and a hidden kind of strength.

Just like the bohemién spirit that lives within boho chic itself: free, expressive, a little rebellious, and always, always romantic.

So tell me—what detail have you never stopped loving?
